Jeppe unbeaten at APBSA Football Festival

The Association of Public Boys’ Schools of South Africa (APBSA) Football Festival at Pretoria Boys High came to an end on Friday afternoon, with only eight matches played on the final day of the event.

Northwood kicked off the morning matches with a 1-0 victory against Queen’s College, while Queen’s arch-rivals, Dale College, snatched a 1-0 win over Parktown Boys’ High.

In a five-goal thriller, Rondebosch Boys’ High edged out King Edward VII School (KES) 3-2.

Wynberg Boys’ High, one of the most entertaining teams on show at the APBSA Football Festival, concluded with a 1-0 win over Grey College.

Potchefstroom High School for Boys scored a comfortable 3-0 victory against Glenwood.

Jeppe High School for Boys, one of the most impressive teams at the festival, signed off on a high note and were unbeaten after outplaying Pretoria Boys High 4-0. They scored 18 goals, conceding only three on the first day, and none on both Thursday and Friday.

In the final match of the festival, St Andrew’s School, one of only two sides to score against Jeppe, defeated Kimberley Boys’ High 2-1.
