Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Future of Africa 4-1 on Heritage Day, making good use of one of their catch-up matches in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) to close the gap on the league leaders, Kaizer Chiefs.
With the win at Bonaero 74 Football Club, second-placed Sundowns moved to within three points of Chiefs’ 59, but with two games in hand.
Goals from Thabang Makoba, Omphemetse Sekgoto, Siyabonga Mbongo, and an own goal contributed to a comfortable win for the Brazilians.
