After recording a big 96-run win over Hoërskool Framesby on Thursday, Hoërskool Garsfontein won by even more on Friday, crushing Hoërskool Eldoraigne by 126 runs.
Batting first, Garsies tallied 183/6, with Wikus du Preez the engine behind that healthy total. He struck five fours and three sixes in an undefeated 74 off 41 balls.
Up front, Righardt Joubert weighed in with 49 off 42, while Riaan Boshoff bashed 31 off 17, with six fours.
Matthew Sampson was the pick of the Eldos‘ bowlers. He went for 39 runs in his four overs, but he also picked up three wickets.
Eldoraigne’s reply never put Garsies under any pressure. They stumbled out of the blocks and were staring down the barrel on 12/6 in the fourth over, and that, unfortunately for Eldos, included the run out of opener Vince Lotz without facing a ball, thanks to a direct hit from Wikus du Preez.

Ruan Coetsee and Arrie Verster inflicted the rest of the damage. Coetzee knocked over 5/16 in four overs, while Verster bagged 4/38 in four, and Eldoraigne tumbled to 56 all out in only nine overs.
Rowan Mclaren stood out on a miserable-looking scorecard, hitting three fours and a six in his 20 off only 11 balls, while Niclas Möller made 11 not out.
HTS Drostdy vs Northern Cape Hub XI
In another match that included a low total, HTS Drostdy skittled the Northern Cape Hub XI for only 65 runs to win by 81 runs.
Playing at St Patrick’s CBC, Drostdy completed their 20 overs on 146/6, led by Stephan Steyn‘s 42 not out from just 29 balls. Leonaydio Mackenzie chipped in 29 from 22, and they added 53 for the sixth wicket from five overs.
Kagiso Ngwenya was the pick of the Hub bowlers, grabbing 2/21 from four overs. Kamogelo Pharedi clamped down on the Drostdy batsmen, giving up only 17 runs from his four overs while also picking up a wicket.
Pharedi also shone with the bat, blasting four fours and a six in his swift 26 off 18 deliveries, but no other batsmen made it beyond single figures.
Opening bowling, Adriaan Krynauw, claimed 2/9 in two overs, while Tehan Jonck bowled two maidens and removed two batsmen in two overs as HTS Drostdy bowled out the local side in 15.5 overs.
