Rugby lovers and subscribers to DigiTV have an exciting weekend to look forward to. DigiTV will stream rugby from four different schools this weekend.
The launch of Rooies TV will see HTS Middelburg host Glenwood in Middelburg on Saturday. All the matches on the A- and B-fields will be live streamed to Rooies TV as well as Glenwood TV. Three members of Glenwood’s first team has been included in the newly selected South African Schools’ side. They are centre Rynhardt Jonker, flanker Sibusiso Sangweni and lock Lunga Ncube.
Paul Roos Gimnasium will host Wynberg Boys’ High at the Markotter-stadium with all of the matches on the A-field to be streamed to PRG TV on DigiTV’s platform. The side from Stellenbosch also boast four players Hanru Jacobs, Brendan Venter, JJ Kotze and Juan Mostert in their first XV who was named in the SA Schools side of 2018.
Paul Roos is occupying the top position on School of rugby’s latest rankings. Wynberg Boys’ High is also in the Top 20 lying the 16th position. This encounter promises to be one not to be missed.
In Pretoria Eldoraigne will face Rustenburg in an important Virsekerbeker clash. There is not much to choose between the sides in the Plate-section of the Virsekerbeker. Eldos will be hoping to make their home ground advantage work in their favour to secure a place in the play-offs.
Durban High School will travel to Johannesburg to lock horns with Parktown Boys’ High. The visitors with their SA Schools No.8, Celimpilo Gumede, leading the charge will be favourites to come out on top in this game. All the matches on the A-field will be streamed live to DigiTV.
